Lucía Torner, Past Co-Chair
Lucía Torner (she/her) is an independent conservator of books, archival materials and works on paper. She earned her degree from the program in Conservation of Cultural Heritage by the National Institute of Antropology and History (INAH-ENCRyM) in Mexico City, where she specialized in conservation of archival and bound materials. Before moving to the United States, she was a paper and book conservator at the National Library of Anthropology and History in Mexico City. She has worked for more than ten years with various communities, museums, libraries and institutions in both countries, including the National Archives in Mexico, the American Philosophical Society in Philadelphia and the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library in Delaware.
