Tessa Gadomski, Co-Chair
Tessa Gadomski is PACA's Junior Co-Chair, after previously serving as Treasurer. Tessa is a paper and book conservator at the University of Pennsylvania Libraries. She has expertise in the long-term care of archival documents, books, manuscripts, photographs, and more. Before coming to the Penn Libraries, Tessa was a paper & book conservator at the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) in Philadelphia. Her previous conservation experiences include a fellowship at Dartmouth College Library, and internships at the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution Archives. Tessa is a graduate of the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, where she specialized in library and archival materials. During her graduate studies she also received a Certificate of Advanced Study in Preservation from the Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
“I have been a PACA member for three years, and welcome the opportunity to contribute more to our local conservation community. I want to help ensure that PACA continues to provide great professional development opportunities," says Tessa. "I look forward to discovering a new passion for financial management! My three years of working at a regional center gave me many opportunities to practice working efficiently and within a budget to meet client goals, and I hope to be able to apply and expand upon this experience." As Treasurer, Tessa establishes PACA's annual budget for events and outreach, files PACA's taxes, and handles PACA's other financial business.
